Since 2003, Beyond Basics Physical Therapy has been a place of hope and healing for our patients. We believe skilled and compassionate healing can restore your body’s harmony and balance.  Beyond Basics is a different kind of practice, hiring only exceptional providers who believe in: Working directly with patients in 1-hour, 1-on-1, private sessions, providing holistic care for the whole patient, taking pain seriously, and staying at the forefront of pain science, continuously honing our knowledge, and passing it on to our patients to help them heal.

  • "Physiotherapist/Physical Therapist"

    Tina pursued advanced manual therapy training through the Institute of Physical Art and is now one of 300 Physical Therapists in the world who completed the intense process of certification in Functional Manual Therapy (CFMT). Their philosophy of treatment incorporates functional manual therapy and neuromuscular re-education with specific movement patterns to help promote most optimal and efficient human function. She then received extensive training in pelvic floor health through Herman and Wallace, and became fascinated and well acquainted with the connections of the pelvic floor and the rest of the body especially the hip. Tina also has had training in treating performing artists, including dancers, singers, gymnasts and for the past 7 years has been working in NYC backstage at Broadway shows. Working orthopedically with high level performers has been a great learning experience understanding the complexities high level performance demands of the performing artists.

    University Qualifications:
    Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Exercise Science Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Long Island University Brooklyn Certified Functional Manual Therapy through Institute of Physical Art
