Sue Barker Physiotherapy, Sydney
Sue has been in private practice for over 29 years. She has recently scaled back from running a physiotherapist business in central Wollongong, to a purely clinical role focussing more on patient care and results.
Sue enjoys the challenge of complex and chronic problems and has a special interest in the sacro-iliac joint, hypermobility and fibromyalgia.
Sue has had a very diverse career which has included lecturing in anatomy, working at the Sydney Olympics and teaching Clinical Pilates to physiotherapists both nationally and internationally. She has been appointed as one of only four specialist reservist physiotherapists with the Royal Australian Air Force. Now a Flight Lieutenant, Sue has also completed her rifle training.
She has provided sports coverage for the British Air Force Rugby team and the International Defence Force Cricket Challenge. Sue toured South Africa with the Samoan Rugby team; and New Zealand and the UK with Defence Force cricket.
She has had the privilege of being the head physiotherapist for the Australian Invictus teams at both the Toronto and Sydney Invictus games and had the great opportunity to meet and chat with Prince Harry.
Over her professional life Sue has, and continues, to complete a wide variety of courses which provides her with many different treatment options and allows the best possible approach to your care.
