Course Testimonial
I found this course by chance and did the test to see if I had tendinopathy as Alison had explained- I did.
At that time I could only walk for 5 mins due to extreme pain. It affected every part of my life and I was truly devastated.
Then I embarked on the course. It takes a great deal of dedication but doing it every day also had a comforting aspect, as I knew within a short time that I was on the right track at last. The pain subsided within two weeks and then it was a matter of building strength and increasing my walking slowly.
9 weeks on now and I am on the maintenance part of the course and walking for 45 mins a day with no pain, as well as going to the gym and doing some lower body exercise.
The course is succinct, clear and well thought out in terms of the materials you have to keep you on track. The explanations make sense of a condition that was perplexing before this and hence makes the commitment strong to keep it up day after day. Rehabilitation is hard but made a lot easier by this program because you know pretty quickly that it is making a difference and that keeps you hooked. I felt empowered by the course and cannot thank Alison enough to have made it available to me.
If you think you have this condition, do try the program, as it is life changing.

This education and exercise self-help course is developed by Dr Alison Grimaldi, a leading expert in Hip and Buttock pain, and key investigator on a multicentre university trial into Gluteal Tendinopathy published in the British Medical Journal.
Gluteal tendinopathy is the main cause of pain from the soft tissues at the side of the hip. Some people also have trochanteric bursitis and together these conditions are referred to as Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome. These soft tissue conditions are most common in older women but can also occur in men and younger athletes. It is a problem that can interfere substantially with sleep, physical activity, and impact substantially on quality of life.
This rehabilitation program will give you a detailed understanding of this group of conditions.
Please note, the content in this rehabilitation program is informational in nature and is not personalised medical advice. We recommend you check with your general practitioner before beginning an exercise program.
