Clare is a South African trained physiotherapist who has extensive experience in the treatment and management of back, neck and peripheral joint problems.
Prior to moving to Jersey in 2007 ,Clare gained valuable international experience working in the USA and in private practice in South Africa. Clare obtained a postgraduate diploma in Manual Therapy in 1990 and was subsequently involved in teaching on the course until 2007. Her teaching credits also include a course on posture and biomechanics of the lower quarter, encompassing a comprehensive assessment, which addresses all predisposing factors, linked to lumbar, pelvic, hip and knee problems.
Clare has attended multiple courses including Alison Grimaldi’s Dynamic Stabilisation of the Hip and Pelvis and James Moore and Mark Young’s Sporting Hip and Groin.
She regularly accesses the wealth of knowledge disseminated online, seeking out trends and techniques applicable to her work.
Combining her considerable experience with ongoing education creates a pragmatic approach that is achieving good outcomes.
Clare treats all neuro-muscular-skeletal problems. That’s any condition which involves your joints, nerves, muscles, tendons, ligaments and bone. This includes back and neck pain - acute or persistent, other joint problems, including hips, knees, stiff or painful shoulders, tennis elbow, headaches and post operative rehabilitation.
